During my morning walks i invariably find the street lights burning while the Sun shines bright in the morning sky.
I wonder whether Delhi has surplus power or are the power supply companies trying to outshine the Sun? Have a look at the pictures which i took over a period of few days on my cell phone.

It is shameful.
It only proves that from Santri to Mantri no one is accountable
Don't worry, Delhi isn't the only city competing with the Sun. In Pune you'll find the street lights on even at 12 noon. Same in Baroda and many other cities across the country.
The street light timings need to be regulated as per seasons. They switch the lights ON and OFF at a fixed time for all seasons. So you have street lights getting ON at 7:30 PM in Winter when it gets dark at 5:30-6PM itself. And they are swithed OFF at 7:30 AM in the morning - which is a wastage of 2 hours of Electricity in Summer when there's light at 5:30 itself.
Mr. Chowla and Mr. Mihir, your are absolutely right.
